A bit of a short (not really) detour took us to the Waitomo Glow Wormcaves and a silent boat trip through the caves looking at the glowing ceiling. The rest of the day was spent in the car on our way to Rotorua - maybe we were lucky but the smell was not nearly as bad as people had said it would be !.
