First a trip to the Citadel - a large Martello fort very similar to the fort we saw in Kinsale, Ireland. Constructed of granite, you can soon understand why its Nova Scotia and why the Highland Regiments feel so at home there. Then onto the Maritime Museum with displays covering the Halifax explosion in 1917 and the Titanic sinking. Lunch at Murphy’s on the waterfront and then onto Peggys Cove on the coast.
