Messing about on the water

Today was sailing day - an hours drive up the north coast to Gosford sailing club, where Danny Drummond (Steve’s brother) and Rodney and Christine (friends) had arranged to take their boat “Chinese Boxer” out for the day. We sailed south to near Woy Woy where we moored for lunch, before going into Woy Woy itself to collect calamari, chips and oysters. This is where we came across the large group of pelicans  waiting to be fed at 3pm when the fish shop closed for the day.

Woy Woy is near the home of Spike Milligan and the Bluebottle jellyfish washed up on the beach is allegedly that which gave him the name of the character of the Goon Show.

After sailing, we went to Danny and Linnie’s house for a meal - in the lovely National Park area of Bouddi Bay
