Uluru climb & Kata Tjuta

An early start this morning - 4.30am pickup from the hotel and straight to the sunrise viewing point. Too much cloud to be really impressive, but a nice early start to the day. As it was still quite cool, I climbed the rock starting at about 0645 and was back down again by about 0830. Tina went for a walk around the base. The climb was closed at 0800 due to the high temperatures expected through the day - 38 degrees.

After a spot of lunch we set off for the even larger rock formation at Kata Tjuta - and probably too much walking after the early morning start. We managed both walks okay, but Tina suffered a little from an upset stomach in the evening, so we skipped the BBQ and the following mornings early start.
