Time to go home
Up normal time, breakfast, disembark, coach to hotel, lounge around, back on coach to terminal, check in and offer seat to a rather tall chap - and as a result we get an upgrade to Business class with the flat beds!
A lovely way to end things :)

Tail of a hurricane
An interesting nights sleep - no worries about tossing and turning as we caught the tail end of Hurricane Hugo running up the Eastern seaboard. Luckily it was far enough out to sea for us to sneak around the inside of it and only have 12 foot waves. Not much rolling around once both stabilisers had been extended however not much fun on deck so the inside was crowded especially the eating areas.

Charlestown, South Carolina
Charlestown, South Carolina was where the first shots of the American civil war started, at Fort Sumter (shown in the river channel on the last few pictures).
Also across from our berth was the legendary USS Yorktown from WW2.
We took a tour around the Magnolia Gardens and the film location for “Swamp Thing”.
